Guided brushing - with its 3D jaw model - can help you improve your oral health day after day by guiding you through a brushing method approved by oral health professionals.
It will coach you during your brushing session by indicating to you the areas to brush and providing suggestions on your brushing movements, to achieve great coverage, angle and speed.
You can start the Guided brushing by pressing your toothbrush button. When starting a guided brushing session, the following screen appears. The blue-colored area highlights the active zone that you have to brush. Guided brushing activity divides our teeth in 16 zones. You’ll also get suggestions on your brushing movements, angle, and speed.
For optimal results, we recommend that you keep your phone at eye level for this activity.
At the center of the screen, the percentage indicates the surface brushed for the active zone, meaning the zone that you are currently brushing.
Once an area is properly brushed, the progress indicator in the center will show "100%" and the zone will become colored in white. The next zone is then highlighted and becomes the active zone. This will continue until all zones are clean, helping you reach every last bit of plaque.
Note: in case you spend too much time in a given zone, Guided brushing will move to the next one, even if you don't reach 100% in order to prevent potentially damaging your gums.
Live progress bar
Below the 3D jaw there is a live progress bar representing all of your 16 zones brushing outcome in particular colours .
- Light orange: zones that you missed or haven’t yet brushed
- White: zones where you achieved 100% coverage. Good job!
- Orange: zones that you need to brush, which eventually turns to white (clean) or light orange (missed).
While brushing, you will receive real-time feedback or suggestions on your brushing zone, angle, and speed, which helps you to adjust your brushing movements if needed.
- You're doing great, keep going!
- Check your zone
- You're brushing too slow!
- Be careful, you're brushing too fast!
- Tilt your brush 45 degree
Pausing the brushing session
At any time during your Guided brushing session, you can pause the brushing by pressing the toothbrush button. Or directly from the Guided brushing screen (on the top left of the screen). The Pause screen is then displayed.
In the bottom, there is a timer which shows the time you spent for this brushing. When you pause the brushing session, the timer is also paused.
End of the brushing session
Once you’re done with your brushing session, you can turn off your toothbrush. The checkup of your session will appear on the app.
