Want to share your Colgate Connect toothbrush with the members of your family? No problem! You just need to follow the following simple steps to share your toothbrush:
Create profiles for the members of your family
You must create one profile per user to monitor your family's progress.
To add a new profile, open ‘Settings’ on the Home page. Then, click on the 'Add a profile' button and enter the new profile details, including the new profile's picture.
You can add as many profiles as you need.
Share your toothbrush
To share a new toothbrush, follow the connection steps (see Connect your toothbrush if needed) until you reach the following screen:
From here, you have the ability to set the toothbrush as a 'Shared toothbrush'.
In case you want to share an already connected toothbrush, go to your toothbrush Settings screen and set the toothbrush user attribute on 'Shared toothbrush'.
Select the active profile
Once you set your toothbrush as 'shared', all brushing sessions performed with your device are assigned to the active profile (that is to say the profile selected with the profile switcher in case of multi profiles).
To set the active profile, open the profile switcher by clicking your profile picture on the Home page. Then select the profile you want to use.
The active profile is also displayed on the Brush tab, on the top of the screen.
Manage offline brushings
Your toothbrush can store the brushing sessions done without your device (also known as Offline brushings) but cannot guess who did them in case of a shared toothbrush.
For that reason, such offline brushings, once synchronised with the app, are placed in a dedicated queue of 'unassigned brushings'.
Those brushing sessions won't impact your brushing stats until you assign them to a profile.
Retrieve offline brushing data, but put them in a dedicated queue where users can manually assign them to the appropriate profile
You can access the unassigned brushing queue for the Calendar su tab, by clicking the top right chain icon.
To share a new toothbrush, follow the connection steps (see Connect your toothbrush if needed) until you reach the following screen:
From that screen, you can check the brushing session details, and assign them to a profile – you can assign multiple offline brushings at once – or delete them.
The assignment is optional. The brushing sessions remain in the queue until they are either assigned or deleted.
