You can use your Apple Watch to check your brushing data and even assist you during your brushing sessions.
Installation
First, make sure you have the Colgate Connect app installed on your Apple Watch. Check that 'Colgate Connect' is listed under the 'Installed on Apple Watch' section. Otherwise, find it in the 'Available apps' section and click the Install button (the installation can take quite some time). Refer to Apple website should you need assistance (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204784).
Important: you must be logged in the iOS app before you can use the Apple Watch app. If you have a Colgate Connect toothbrush, you must pair it from the iOS app also.
Launch the Apple Watch Colgate Connect app by touching its icon on the app launcher screen:
Home screen
The app Home screen has two elements: a button that launches the Timer on top, and a summary of your last brushing session on the bottom part.
Timer
Touch the 'Start' button to launch the Timer.
A 2-minute timer is then launched, and the app indicates the area to be brushed with an outer highlight. An audible notification will warn you when to change zone.
When you brush the indicated area properly, the progress bar fills up, and when you are not brushing the right location, it stops filling.
Note: In case you use the app without a connected toothbrush, the progress bar simply fills up continuously.
During your brushing session, you can swipe the screen to display the action menu. From this screen, you can pause/resume the timer, stop it, and manage sound indications.
At the end of the brushing session, in case your surface coverage is not good enough, the app gives you 15 additional seconds to enhance it. This sequence is introduced by the "Make it shine!" words.
Checkup
After the brushing session, similarly to the iOS app, a checkup screen is displayed.
On this screen, you can check the quality of your brushing session with key indicators. A 3D jaw allows you to visualize the areas that need improvement (in yellow) and the ones that were properly brushed (in white). You can make 3D jaw animated with pan gestures.
Notifications
Your Apple Watch can display Checkup notifications when you synchronize offline brushings with your iOS device.
Make sure you enabled notifications on the iOS app (check Apple Settings>Notifications)
Such notifications are only displayed when the iOS app is in the background, the iOS device screen is off (device locked), and the Watch app is also in the background. If the iOS is not locked, it will intercept the notification, that won't be displayed on the watch.
