Colgate Smart Electronic Toothbrush
The toothbrush utilizes sonic vibration technology with a lower frequency and intensity to avoid aggressive brushing especially at the gum-line and marginal area of the tooth where the enamel is thinnest. The toothbrush should be used as a regular manual toothbrush is used. The gentle jiggle motion that one would normally use with a manual brush should also be used when brushing with the Colgate Smart Electronic toothbrush. The sonic vibrations with the gentle jiggle of the brush into the gum-line and inter-proximal spaces help to effectively remove plaque bacteria. The toothbrush has soft rounded bristles which bend easily into the gentle curves of the teeth and under the gum-line where plaque bacteria can cause the most damage. Dental professionals agree that excessive and aggressive brushing at the marginal area of the teeth, where the tooth and gum meet, can be harmful and cause recession and toothbrush abrasion.
Brushing guide
Place a dab of toothpaste on the toothbrush head.
To avoid any risk of spilling the toothpaste, place the toothbrush head on your teeth before starting the toothbrush.
Place the toothbrush at a 45° angle to your teeth. Start the toothbrush by pressing the button. As the depth of the vibration increases, make small motions from the gums towards the edge of the teeth. Clean the outside of the teeth in this way, followed by the inner parts, then finally the tops of the molars with small, circular motions. When you have finished brushing your teeth, press the button to stop the vibration.
Do not press down too hard on your teeth and gums while brushing.
