You may be asked to update your toothbrush from time to time to ensure that the latest version of the firmware (the toothbrush’s internal software) is installed. A wireless – or over-the-air (OTA) – update makes your toothbrush more intelligent, brings improvements and fixes bugs. You will be notified of this update by an orange dot on the toothbrush icon at the top left-hand corner of the app. You may also see a popup in the center of the screen.
To update your Colgate Connect toothbrush
- Click on the toothbrush icon
- Select "update now"
During this update, the LED should be blinking green. The update will take a few minutes, and you will be notified via the app once the update is complete. The app must remain open to avoid firmware update fail.
We highly recommend that you carry out updates when requested.
If you go into the toothbrush settings and do not see a firmware available, you already have the most recent firmware installed.
If you think the firmware needs an update or your toothbrush failed, learn what to do.
