Is the teeth whitening device safe for use? will it damage my teeth?

At Colgate, we take the safety of your dental care seriously. Our Teeth Whitening Device has been rigorously tested and is 100% safe for consumer use. It won’t harm your tooth enamel or gums.

Will the teeth whitening treatment cause tooth sensitivity?

Every individual varies in how they respond to teeth whitening. But, because this system has the added power of light, it uses a lower level of peroxide compared to other at-home teeth whitening treatments. That means you’re less likely to feel sensitivity.

Can I use this if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

The ingredients inside the products are safe for use under normal circumstances, but have not been tested on pregnant women. We encourage you to consult with your physician before using the Teeth Whitening Device & Treatment.

I did not know I was pregnant prior to use. should I be worried?

The ingredients in all of our dental care products are safe for use under normal circumstances, but have not been tested on pregnant women. Please talk to your doctor about this.

Can I swallow my saliva during treatment?

Yes!

Can I apply other anti-sensitive products on my teeth before using the teeth whitening device?

Yes, but for proper dental care, we recommend that you wait a few minutes for the anti-sensitive treatment to take effect before starting the Teeth Whitening Treatment.

Why are my gums and tongue painful?

Some people may experience mild tooth sensitivity or gum discomfort when using teeth whitening products. This discomfort is temporary and not harmful. While using this product, try to avoid contact between the Teeth Whitening Serum and soft oral tissues, like your gums, cheeks, and tongue. If you experience more than mild tooth sensitivity, stop use immediately, rinse your mouth with clean water and consult with a dentist.

What do I do if I mistakenly swallow the teeth whitening serum?

Please avoid swallowing the Teeth Whitening Serum as much as possible. It may generate mild pain or heat if swallowed by mistake. If this happens, please stop using this product immediately, rinse your mouth thoroughly and drink plenty of water. Allow the release of gas from the stomach (in the form of a belch), but don’t induce vomiting. If symptoms persist, seek medical help.

Can I use the system if I have an oral condition like oral ulcers, gum bleeding, sensitive teeth, serious demineralization, damaged enamel, etc.?

People with ongoing oral conditions should avoid using the system, or use with extra caution to ensure proper dental care. If you have oral problems, please consult your dentist before using this product.

Should I continue to use the product if I have bleeding gums or a toothache after use?

If bleeding gums and/or a toothache persists, seek the attention of a dental professional. Once bleeding and toothache subside, you can use the product again.

My gums turned white after use. is this normal?

Your gums may turn white after prolonged exposure to the Teeth Whitening Serum. This should resolve about 30 minutes after treatment. If you experience any problems with this, make sure to contact us.
