Colgate Connect's guided brushing makes better oral care a no-brainer, helping you improve your oral health day after day by guiding you through a brushing method approved by oral health professionals.
With this feature, you’ll get real-time coaching during your brushing session where the 3D jaw model will indicate—live—which areas need extra attention among the 16 zones of your teeth. You’ll also get suggestions on your brushing movements, angle, and speed. On the other hand, if you are a hum smart rhythm user you will have the possibility to have the guided brushing, but contrary to the other brushes the feedback made during the brushing will not be live. The check-up at the end of the brushing will simply inform you of the duration of the brushing. For optimal results, we recommend that you keep your phone at eye level for this activity.
At the center of the screen, the percentage indicates the surface brushed for the active zone, meaning the zone that you are currently brushing.
Once an area is properly brushed, the progress indicator in the center will show "100%" and the zone will become colored in white. The next zone is then highlighted and becomes the active zone. This will continue until all zones are clean, helping you reach every last bit of plaque.
Note: in case you spend too much time in a given zone, Guided brushing will move to the next one, even if you don't reach 100% in order to prevent potentially damaging your gums.
Live progress bar
Below the 3D jaw there is a live progress bar representing all of your 16 zones brushing outcome in particular colours .
- Light orange: zones that you missed or haven’t yet brushed
- White: zones where you achieved 100% coverage. Good job!
- Orange: zones that you need to brush, which eventually turns to white (clean) or light orange (missed).
